First things first: We’re feeling grateful to the water protectors at Standing Rock whose brave efforts reminded us, among many things, that drinking water is our sustenance.


On the topic of drinking water, we just came across a sweet list of ways to serve up a glass (or jug), and needed to share it with you. Several chefs and nutritionists created recipes for H2O concoctions that pump up the nutrients and natural flavor for a glass of water. These are easy peasy to make:


  • Blood Orange and Spice Water, including ginger, cayenne and turmeric.
  • Wild Blueberry Hibiscus Water, because flowers.
  • Cayenne and Lemon Water, an all-time favorite.
  • Spiced Apple, including cinnamon and ginger.
